Ref Finance (REF) is the native utility and governance token for Ref Finance, a decentralized exchange (DEX) and automated market maker (AMM) protocol built on the NEAR Protocol. Ref Finance provides liquidity pools and swapping services for tokens within the NEAR ecosystem and increasingly across chains. REF tokens are used for paying trading fees (often discounted for holders), participating in liquidity mining programs to earn rewards, staking, and participating in the decentralized governance of the Ref Finance protocol, allowing holders to vote on proposals and protocol parameters. The token is integral to the DEX's operations and community-led development on the NEAR network.
