Adventure Gold (AGLD) is the governance and utility token designed for the Loot decentralized fantasy universe project. Loot is a unique, randomized adventurer gear generated and stored on-chain, representing the foundational building blocks for potential games and experiences. AGLD was created as a spontaneous response to the Loot project, aiming to provide a form of currency or governance for derivative projects built upon the Loot NFTs. Holders of Loot NFTs were able to claim AGLD tokens. The token's utility is primarily determined by the community and developers building within the Loot ecosystem; it can be used for governance votes on Loot-related proposals, integrated into games as currency, or utilized in other applications that leverage the Loot bags. AGLD represents an experiment in bottom-up ecosystem development, where the community dictates the value and use cases of the token based on a decentralized base layer (Loot).
