Rari Governance Token (RGT) is the governance token for Rari Capital, a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol that allows users to earn yield on their crypto assets and borrow assets against collateral. Rari Capital was a significant player in the DeFi space, although it later merged with Tribe DAO. RGT token holders participated in the decentralized governance of the Rari Capital protocol, voting on proposals related to protocol parameters, supported assets, interest rate models, and treasury management. While the ecosystem has evolved under Tribe, RGT historically empowered the community to control the decentralized money market protocols within the Rari Capital ecosystem.
